From the author,
I have tried Yahoo Widgets and Google Desktop, which both provide calendar and world clock.
Yahoo Widgets crashes from time to time and eats a lot of memory.
Google Desktop provides too much functions that’s way out of my need, especially indexing and searching on background, and it eats memory and CPU capacity too.Why would my simple need for a calendar with week numbers and a world clock showing a few time zones concurrently would be so hard to fulfill?
So I wrote my own during the Chinese New Year of Bull 2009.
MeWa Desktop Kit – this small application provides easy access to calendar and world clock – as easy as hitting a hot-key whenever you need it. Hitting the hot-key again and it will disappear completely.
Installation is as easy as unzipping to any folder and create a shortcut to main executable mewadk.exe on your desktop or in Windows startup menu folder.
Open mewadk.ini with any text editor and follow the instructions to configure your copy of MeWa Desktop Kit.
Download here (149KB zip file) and enjoy the ease.
