The installation executable is built with the freely available, clean and fast NSIS (Nullsoft Scriptable Install System).
Other FREE editing tools you may find useful for LaTeX (some I had used before
wrote my own):
- Crimson Editor,
excellent general purpose text editor! And it's FREE! A Must See!
- TeXnicCenter, an open-source and rich featured LaTeX editor. I think it's too complicated and still a not-so-stable beta release. However, good part of it's design is borrowed.
